Welcome to Kollo! These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Kollo mobile app, website, and related services (collectively, the "Platform"). By registering for, accessing, or using Kollo, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Please read them carefully.

1. About Kollo

Kollo is a digital savings and investment platform owned and operated by KolocoreTechnologies Limited, registered in Nigeria. Kollo offers tools for individual savings, fixed investment plans, digitalized group savings (ajo/esusu), and related financial services in partnership with licensed financial institutions.

2. Eligibility

You must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Be a Nigerian resident or have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts under Nigerian law
  • Have a valid bank account and/or BVN

We reserve the right to reject or terminate any account that does not meet these criteria.

3. Account Registration

To use Kollo, you must register and provide accurate personal information including your name, phone number, email, and bank verification details. You agree to:

  • Provide truthful and complete information
  • Keep your login details secure
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use or security breach

Kollo may request identity verification (e.g., NIN, passport, or driver's license) in line with our KYC and AML obligations.

4. Kollo Services

Kollo provides access to:

  • KolloCruise: Flexible daily savings
  • KolloSureLock: Fixed deposit-style investments with interest
  • KolloGoGet: Goal-based savings
  • KolloTogether: Group savings (ajo/esusu)

Important: Kollo does not hold funds directly but partners with licensed financial institutions who manage and invest users' funds. All investment products offered are subject to risk, including the potential loss of capital. Past performance is not a guarantee of future results.

5. Fees & Charges

Fees are clearly stated in the app per product or transaction, including:

  • 0.5% withdrawal fee on individual savings/investments (KolloCruise, GoGet, SureLock)
  • 1.5% collection fee on group savings (KolloTogether)

You are responsible for any third-party bank or transfer fees applicable to your transactions.

6. Risks and Disclaimers

By using Kollo, you acknowledge:

  • All investments carry some level of financial risk
  • Kollo is not a bank or insured deposit-taking institution
  • Returns may vary and are not guaranteed
  • You should seek professional financial advice where necessary before making investment decisions

7. Account Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if:

  • You violate these Terms
  • We suspect fraudulent or unauthorized activity
  • Required by law, regulation, or a financial institution

You may also close your account at any time via the app after transferring your funds from your wallet (minus applicable charges) to your linked bank account.

8. Privacy and Data Protection

Kollo complies with the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) and is registered as a Data Controller of Major Importance.

We will handle your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. You agree to the collection and use of your data as described therein.

9. Service Availability

While we aim to provide uninterrupted access to our services, Kollo may occasionally be unavailable due to:

  • Scheduled maintenance
  • System upgrades
  • Third-party service disruptions

We are not liable for any loss resulting from temporary unavailability of the platform.

10. Intellectual Property

All trademarks, logos, app designs, and content on the Kollo platform are the intellectual property of Kollo or its partners. You may not copy, distribute, or use them without our written permission.

11. Complaints and Dispute Resolution

If you have a complaint or dispute, please contact support@kolloapp.com. We will aim to resolve issues amicably. Unresolved disputes may be referred to arbitration in Nigeria in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. By using Kollo, you submit to the jurisdiction of Nigerian courts.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. You will be notified of any significant changes via the app, email, or push notification. Continued use of Kollo after such updates means you accept the revised Terms.

14. Disclaimers

Member Default Disclaimer

Kollo is not liable for member defaults. Group coordinators are responsible for ensuring only trusted contributors are added.

Investment Disclaimer

All investments carry risk. Past performance does not guarantee future results. Please review all product details before committing.

Fund Management

Kollo does not operate as a fund manager. We provide a tech platform that connects users with licensed financial partners and Reliance Capital Limited is our partner.

Referral Disclaimer

Referral rewards are subject to change and only apply when all referral terms are met.

Data Privacy Disclaimer

User data is protected and handled in line with applicable data protection laws. We do not share personal information without consent.

Group Responsibility Disclaimer

Kollo does not mediate disputes between group members. Coordinators manage the group, collections, and member activities.

Payment Processing Disclaimer

Kollo uses third-party payment providers. Delays or failures in payment may be due to external banking networks.

Service Availability Disclaimer

Kollo services may experience occasional downtime due to maintenance or third-party outages. We'll always work to restore service quickly.
